Al Rasool Foundation of Waikato (ARFW) is a registered charitable organization working to positively impact the lives of the growing Shia Muslim community of Hamilton (and Waikato at large). ARFW gained charitable status in 2012 and after a great level of effort – in the year 2021- succeeded in establishing a dedicated community center (Al Rasool Centre) by purchasing a property at 134 Riverlea Road, Hamilton.

Shia Muslim community has been part of the growth of the city since the 90s but the numbers have been bolstered of late with the arrival of a large number of immigrants and refugees. We now have more than 1,000 Shia Muslims living in Hamilton and the surrounding areas and Al Rasool Centre is the second home to them all. Some of our service offerings are as follows:
